Through commencement of Connecting Rods, Piston, Ring and Gudgeon Pin of TU5 Peugeot Engine in Piston Iran Company, mass production of the said complex was started. This project has been implemented with an annual production capacity of 500,000 assemblies, operation of which is considered as an important step towards meeting the TU5 engine needs in production of various vehicles by Iran Khodro Company. All the steps of engineering studies, installing and commissioning equipment, producing pilot sample, pilot and commercial production have been conducted by the relevant experts and professionals in Piston Iran Company. This project was completed successfully after conducting the required tests and approving the different implementation stages by the clients through sending and handing over the first shipment from the commercial production premises to Iran Khodro Company in the current month. It should be mentioned that TU5 16-cylinder 1.6 lt engine is one of the low-fuel consuming engines which is applied in production of Peugeot 206, Runna, Peugeot Persia LX and SLX customized Peugeot 405 range of models.
